Project: Generic MAC Wrapper Driver (GenMac)
The Generic MAC Wrapper driver (GenMac) of Willibald Meyer provides generic driver support for several network interface cards under OS/2 and eComStation. Moreover, GenMac is enabled to support WPA encryption with the Wireless LAN Monitor 3.x or better.Please note that there was a previous project called genmac, which implemented native OS/2 code for the support of serveral network interface cards.
Although the Generic MAC Wrapper Driver is named similar and started off with the version number V1.00 for its initial version, this driver follows a completely different technical approach. It implements a virtual environment to enable the use Windows 32-bit drivers under OS/2 and eComStation.
